These vegan shoes are made using a combination of SEQUAL's recycled ocean plastic yarn and other sustainable materials, such as recycled rubber, recycled sneakers and recycled cotton!
SEQUAL's innovative process involves collecting plastic waste from oceans, shorelines, and landfills. They then sort and clean the waste, turning it into a polymer which is transformed into yarn. This way we give a second life to plastic waste that would otherwise harm our oceans and wildlife. It's a significant step towards a more sustainable future.

At Komrads, we are aware of the criticism surrounding ocean waste plastics. Sometimes dubious processes are used to obtain ocean waste plastic. By working with our official and certified partner SEQUAL, we are certain about the ethical and reliable process.
